The leading cause of epilepsy-related death is believed to be Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.  We patented a Phytocannabinoid / terpenoid formulation and administration method for the acute treatment of seizure activity.  A Grand Mal  seizure  — also known as a generalized tonic-clonic seizure — is caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Usually, a grand mal seizure is caused by epilepsy, but it can occur in other disorders, like autism.  Rapid cessation of convulsions during an ongoing seizure is critical.  Intranasal administrations can be absorbed and concentrated in the brain most effectively.  We incorporated a very specific phytocannabinoid / terpene ratio formulation that was based on extensive genetic and chemotyping research.  We then used valuable caregiver feedback and combined the unique formulation into an extremely fast delivery and absorption system.
